Biography
Louis Gough is a PhD researcher and associate lecturer in Sociology at the University of the West of England (UWE). His research concerns the communication strategies of the vegan social movement with a focus on subverting anthropocentrism – understood as the hegemonic ideology undergirding interconnected nonhuman and human oppressions. Louis is a qualitative researcher conducting desk-based critical discourse analyses with the hope of facilitating the production of anti-anthropocentric vegan advocacy campaigns and underscoring veganism’s capacity in this connection.
